Standing outside on the balcony while drinking an expresso during a thunderstorm was rather soothing. Always a pleasure, thunderstorms were always so majestic.

It’s decided. It or she rather will be called - ALICE. I’ve retired Alice (the iMac) at work and will be transferring that honor to the MacBook Pro. Long live Alice. I’m going to have a beer and celebrate.

Apple gave birth to a beautiful silver machine, and thanks to my friend Berner who works for Apple - I am now the proud owner of a beautiful aluminum Macbook Pro. I’m in tears. I almost lost it and purchased the Macbook, but somehow I managed to keep my excitement. The Macbook was tempting and the small form factor was definitely a plus, and the flat black color? So sexy. However when talking with X, the lack of a dedicated gpu was in the back of my mind. Graphic apps are going to be taking advantage of the new gpus coming with the Macbook Pros and Mac Pros. It was natural then to go with the mbp. Over the past couple of days I’ve been weary of using it, I don’t want it abused, well, at least not yet. Damn it man - snap out it!

Photos? You kidding? Go to flickr or google Macbook Pro and you’ll see a ton of people with theirs’. It is such a pleasure working on this laptop. Great! I asked Jess if I can name her Jessica, but she reluctantly said “Okay”. However, I’ll hold off until I find another name — anyone have any suggestions? –Betsy –Betty –Alice #2 –Name? Help
