I need to remind myself. IF, if at all possible do two things this weekend:
1) Plan and come up with a design for my online portfolio - wireframes, interaction design, and just general planning. NO CODING.
2) Create a remote control widget so Dylan quits bitching about what music is blaring on my iTunes.
As Cyrus would say, “I’ll do that with my copious amount of time”(insert laugh here).

I had a delema. I wanted to use my keyboard and mouse on the mini with one monitor and share the same keyboard and mouse with the laptop. A few months ago, I got an idea to maybe look at some of the open source vnc stuff and modify it to just send the keyboard and mouse info over to the laptop over vnc. Austin came to the rescue to recommend Synergy. I should have known somebody already had the same problem and implemented a solution. The jist, Synergy has both server and client software which sends/receives the mouse and keyboard commands over a vnc like connection to multiple systems on multiple os(s). How awesome. Check it out http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/

My left eye now twitches for some damn reason, Scott says it’s due to stress. It started last week. It’s annoying as hell especially when I’m in a meeting. “I can feel it - can they see?” Crying out loud, I have enough voices in my head to quell. Freakin eye.

I’m not really huge into pier design, but i do make exceptions and they seem mostly to be very good sessions. But at times it’s just like nails to a chalkboard, and my heart just sinks to the deepest levels of depression. You’ve created something nice and people like it but they give some good advice and changes. I like feedback, negative or positive, but constructive feedback. There are always times when your designs get ripped to shreds, but how are you going to get better if it doesn’t? I’ve developed a thick skin and live for the feedbacks as long as it’s contructive. If not then you just sound like a know it all that’s full of shit. Back to pier design, this week my fellow designers felt my pain and cringed as my structured comp was turned upside down - they felt sorry for me. The end result had changes that weren’t discussed at the initial design review. It might have been cool if you were hopped up on weed and working for a design studio in the 70’s with the target audience as were other hopped up design studios.

Nothing like inconsiderate actions to get your blood pumping. Nothing like this feeling to get you into action either. Might as well call me out. Photoshop battle anyone? Flash? Illustrator? Pixen? Lightwave??

Damn, it’s been a month and no post except this one to indicate I haven’t posted in a month. Jeez. Thanks the gods for wordpress’ spam filters.

What a way to end a career. So sad. Even though Italy was dragging it’s ass all over the place, I’m glad they won the World Cup.
